CEO Rita Liu: Within the shortest two years, stable currency will be widely used for day-to-day payments and fund management by enterprises

On 23 September 2026, the International Week of the Shanghai blockchain and the Twelfth Global Summit of the blockchain were inaugurated, with a gold fortune and privilege to invite the CEO Rita Liu, a coin-based technology.

    The interview is organized below.

    • Financial and payment regulation is territorial in nature, with local characteristics preserved. At the same time, the blockchain has global, distributed features, and cross-regional regulatory collaboration and convergence of rules will be important directions.

    • The important value of a stable currency lies in supporting the financial chain and improving the efficiency of global payments and financial systems.

    • With a focus on the large-scale landing of coins and various monetized currencies, OristaPay is working to create new business accounts for the Web3 and AI era.

Gold money: Since its inception in 2020, the currency industry has changed dramatically. What do you think is the biggest difference between today’s stable currency market and the start of a company? How does it work?

Rita Liu:When the first business in Hong Kong to explore compliance-stabilizing currency operations was founded in 2020, Facebook recently proposed that the entire stable currency industry is at an early stage and less focused. In six years, we have experienced multiple trade cycles.

I believe that the most obvious change is to move forward simultaneously with compliance and mainstreaming.

In the current cycle, in particular, the building of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks has continued to be promoted everywhere, providing a basis for stabilizing currency into mainstream application.

At the same time, the market’s understanding of stable currencies is growing. Its use is extending from digital asset transactions to business payment settlements, fund management and so forth, as well as from early pilot enterprises to large multinational firms.

The large-scale application of the stabilization currency is still in the process of development, requiring a combined improvement of regulatory frameworks, mobility and supporting infrastructure.

Over the past six years, the currency has undergone a number of business overlaps, but at its core it has always been promoting large-scale landing applications of stable and monetized currencies. On the one hand, we are continuously exploring stabilization of currency issuances within the framework of Hong Kong Sandbox; On the other hand, we have created the OristaPay brand. Stable payments were initially located on the B2B stabilization currency payment platform, and were further identified early this year as “Web3 and the new business account of the AI era”. Payments are the starting point, and accounts are the core product of many financial needs of enterprises.

In the Web3 era, assets and funds were gradually being brought into chains and traditional business accounts that supported only French currency had become difficult to meet new business needs. We hope to achieve a seamless link between French currency and digital assets throughout the process of receipt, payment, storage, remittance and management. In the AI era, the digital transformation of enterprises will accelerate further and the combination of AI Agent with digital primary tools such as stabilization currency will also drive a new round of upgrading of business accounts. Our goal is to create new types of accounts for businesses that are compatible with digital assets, secure and easy to use.

We are confident that the global payment financial system will move gradually towards a chain, and that the currency is expected to play an important role in this process. We will continue to build on the Hong Kong, global focus on corporate clients and gradually explore financial scenarios such as fund management and investment financing from the start of payment settlements. In addition to stabilizing the currency, we plan to adapt the central bank’s digital currency (CBDC), bank deposits, etc., so long as they help firms complete global settlements and cross-border financial operations, we all hope to provide support in response to regulatory requirements.

Gold finance: The United States, Hong Kong, etc. are moving forward with regulatory frameworks. Do you think that future regulation of the encryption market will converge globally or retain its own regulatory characteristics?

Rita Liu:Financial and payment regulation itself is territorial in nature, with different development paths being chosen by local communities in the context of their financial systems, policy objectives and market needs.

But the blockchain is a global, distributed system of accounts that requires dialogue and collaboration across jurisdictions. So I think territoriality does not contradict regulatory convergence, and regional cooperation will be gradually strengthened in the future while preserving each other’s characteristics.

In the direction of development, the United States is focusing more on dollar stabilization, while Europe is exploring both stable currencies and central bank digital currencies, while Hong Kong is exploring stabilization currencies, digital Hong Kong dollars and bank deposits in a way that focuses on promoting digital renminbi in the interior. I believe that cross-border exploration, such as the multi-central bank digital currency bridge (mBridge), is expected to play a role in the renminbi internationalization process. The dollar stabilization currency and the digital renminbi represent different paths of development, each with its own application scenes that need to be advanced. We also look forward to the opportunity for non-bank financial and technological institutions such as currency to participate in the construction.

Gold money: Now, the stabilization currency is one of the most popular areas in global financial technology. What do you think is the greatest value of a stable currency?

Rita Liu:I believe that the value of a stable currency is to support the financial chain and improve the efficiency of global payments and the functioning of the financial system. If the ecosystem of a chain is seen as an economic system, it is like cash and “blood” in it.

Many of the processes in traditional financial payment systems have evolved from a paper age, with many middle links, complex levels of liquidation, and yet more efficient settlements. The chain-based system provides new paths to address these pains, while the currency stabilization is an important tool for linking finance to its application.

In cross-border payments, stable currency is expected to change the traditional model of communication and intermediate-level settlement, with a global distribution of bookkeeping transactions that will bring payments, clearings, and settlements closer together or even synchronized. Large-scale landings, however, still need to improve local liquidity packages, access to French currency and chain assets, and to be built by industry as a whole.

The introduction of enterprises will be gradual: initially it may be possible to settle the payments in stable currencies and then convert the money received into French currency; As downstream suppliers gradually accept stable currencies, there is an opportunity for enterprises to extend their application to financial management and explore trade and supply chain finance in the context of asset monetization. Last year, I judged that this change would take three to five years; This year, in conjunction with the continuing trend of expansion of enterprise-end participants, I am predicting a two- to four-year period, i.e., within a maximum of two years, where stable currency is expected to be generally found in the accounts that businesses use on a daily basis for payments and funds storage. Large multinational enterprises, Hong Kong ' s sound business and industrial base also support the landing of relevant applications.

Gold finance: In recent years, traditional financial institutions and infrastructure have also explored digital assets, asset monetization, and block-chain technology. How do you think the future of traditional financial markets and digital financial systems integrate? Are there obstacles? Who will become future navigators?

Rita Liu:In this process, the barriers between traditional finance and digital finance along the chain are expected to be gradually eased.

As a global financial centre, the US has the advantage of capital accumulation and associated innovations move faster. Hong Kong has both a mature financial base and a territorial advantage to connect with markets at home and abroad, which can play an important role in the wave of monetization.

Gold: What do you think of the recent bitcoin and market cycles? What are the best trends in the long run?

Rita Liu:Here I share only industry observations, which do not constitute investment proposals. I think the bottom narrative of Bitcoin has not changed fundamentally. Its “digital gold” narrative is once again taken into account in the context of global debt concerns.

The best thing I can do is to apply the stable currency on a large scale. We believe that the payment system will move gradually toward the chain, but this is not a change that can be achieved in the short term.

The industry still has a different view of the four-year cycle of Bitcoin. I think that, while participation groups and market hotspots are constantly changing, cyclical features persist, while those who are committed to building in the medium and long term continue to advance their industries.
